ROATAN, HONDURAS
There was a little entertainment at the pier. It's always fun to see/hear local music.
Rather than do an excursion here, I did some research ahead of time and found a restaurant noted for it's spiny crab. I made reservations and we were set. We hired a cab and drove thru local areas to arrive at French Harbour Restaurant.
The weather was beautiful and we secured a table outside. The location couldn't have been better. 2 sides of the Pacific Ocean with waves pounding along the rocks. My favorite type of music.
Apparently Imperial Beer is a common name for local beers. Bob's hat is also Imperial Beer but from Costa Rica.
Another view from their outdoor seating area. They had seating for about 20 people outside although the interior was bigger.
This description was part of the menu and the restaurant was very informative. I don't think I have ever had Spiny King Crab as the main entree. For an additional $5 they would take it out of it's shell. We opted for this. I still prefer King Crab that we get from New England and Alaska but I did enjoy the spiny ones.
The owner came to our table to talk with us and got our permission to post our picture on their Instagram account.
We returned to port with our ship looming in the background.
There is an Island right off the Cruise Port with this bridge leading to beaches, shops, etc.
I'm always amazed how many people spend their port time at the beach. Maybe I'm spoiled living in Florida. We just prefer to get out and learn about where we are visiting. To each his own.
